$10k Celebration! Adding a free sticker to every pledge + Info on getting a Patreon exclusive pin

With only 3 days to go we're adding a sticker to all pledges! 

The last two Kickstarters each came with a 3 inch round sticker that matched the main celestial dragon pin, and I just couldn't leave this one out. I am in absolute awe and appreciation at how much this campaign has grown! Thank you all for making this so amazing :'D

As of now, every pledge that backs a pin will get one of these three inch stickers for free! Non-backers and tip-jar backers can get one by going to the Backerkit store after the Kickstarter ends where shipping can be added. All backers will be able to purchase extra stickers as well. Woohoo!

~ Other updates ~

There's not a whole lot to report on as of yet! The manufacturer has all of the files and is just waiting for me to give them the final quantities. This week the Backerkit store is being built and I'm aiming to have the surveys sent out by Monday February 17th.

~ Patreon Exclusive Pin - how to get it! ~

I haven't talked about this much because I could not in any way figure out how to set it up, but it seems a couple of you have already found out that I have a Patreon Exclusive pin! So here's the scoop on that - I finally managed to get the tiers set up in a way for International folks to get one of these pins with the first month's pledge, though it'll only be available for Kickstarter backers. Normally the pin would not go out to international Patrons until the 3rd month of Patronage, but I can make an exception because shipping is already paid for via the Kickstarter, which means I can just include the Patreon pin in with the Kickstarter package if someone doesn't want to be a Patron for 3 months in order to get it. (International packages on Patreon normally ship every 3 months due to postage costs).

To get a Patreon exclusive pin, for US folks just pledge to"The Arrival - US Shipping" tier or any above that. I'll be sending out the Pin and this month's print (or sketch, if you choose a higher tier) to you at the end of the month. Your Kickstarter pins will ship separately.

For international folks to get the Patreon exclusive pin, pledge to "International Print Collector". I will send your Patreon pin along with your Kickstarter pins! If you wish to get the Patreon art prints in addition to your pin, those are sent every third month of Patronage. If you only want to get the pin and not the prints, you can pledge just for one month at the $20 level then drop your pledge down to a lower tier where you can still get access to all the digital goodies. After you become a Patron, be sure to send me a message on Patreon what backer number you are in the Kickstarter so that I can match you to your pledge. You can also message me here with your Patreon name after you sign up and I'll be sure to make a note of it.

My Patreon is set up to charge right away, so you can become a Patron at the $20 tier, then immediately switch tiers if you want. You'll still have access to all the perks of Patreon for the entire month. :)

A look at the backing card designs

We've had an amazing first couple of days which has been a total whirlwind! I'm blown away by the wonderful response to the pins, and it means so much after all the many hours and weeks I've spend designing them. Thank you all! So far everything seems to be going smoothly which is excellent. Again I want to express that it's totally OK to send me a message if there is any confusion at all about anything, I don't mind clearing it up. Really!

 ~ Backing cards ~

For the past couple of days I've been working on things behind the scenes here in the studio, including designing the backing cards for all the new pins.

First off I want to explain real quick why there are two sizes of backing cards. In my previous Kickstarters I made all the pins with 3.5x5 inch backing cards. This year, because so many more pins are added, I took several things into consideration and decided to change the size of the backing cards to be instead 2.5 inches wide. This way they will take up less space in the studio but more importantly will use less paper since I'll need to order in the high hundreds of cards. I know a lot of folks don't necessarily want the backing cards anyway, so after the Kickstarter is over and you get your surveys there will be an option to opt out of the backing cards altogether if you want to. Yay options!

The Limited Edition pin will still get the full 3.5x5 inch card so it will match the previous LE pins, but it will be the only one at the larger size. Also it'll make it easier to sign ;)

And here's what I have so far for the new open edition backing cards! I'm so excited about how these are coming along. I may still tweak them before they go to print but I'm pretty happy with how they're all looking so far. I design each card to coordinate with each set of pins and carefully choose design elements that I feel accentuate the pins but not over complicate them. It's such a fine balance but the result is so perfect when they're all together.

All of the previous open edition pins will have the new backing cards too, so the lily will match the rest of the Aura Dragons in Nature set, plus Draco and Sun Dragon will match the size of the new pin "Night-Day". (I'm not throwing out the old cards, they will still get used for conventions and my online shop).

Thanks so much for reading and for all your support. For now, there might not be another update for a little bit unless something new comes up. I'm sort of considering adding another tier or two, maybe for the base set of the "Bottled" dragons and a base set of the "I Belong" pins, but not sure if it's needed since all pins can be added to the "Pin of your choice" tier. I'll think on it.

We did it! 

We're fully funded in just less than 2 hours from launch, thank you all so so much! I'm blown away by the incredible support today and truly can't express how thankful I am. 

Our momentum is really going and we've already unlocked our first stretch goal pin, part of a set of three Bottled Dragons:

This means that as of now there are 4 open editions unlocked. Remember that you can still pledge for pins that are not unlocked yet, because doing so will ultimately unlock them even faster.
